Many estheticians upgrade and enhance their skills through continuing education to expand their service offerings. This showcases the tenacity of our wonderful industry, demonstrating the commitment of professionals to continuous improvement.

Once they've acquired these new skills, our clients have discovered that 100% Natural Source Moor Spa products are highly complementary to dermaplaning, microneedling, microdermabrasion and other more intense skin and body services.

Recently, one of our clients (thanks Kendall!) asked us for a little insight into which Moor Spa products would be a good fit for her popular dermaplaning treatment. It's a great question, because there is definitely an excellent opportunity to build and promote an effective service and appropriate homecare with Moor Spa. The 100% Natural Source ingredients in this professional line ensure excellent product penetration to heal and restore skin.

Dermaplaning

Here are my suggestions for a professional protocol:

  • Cleanse and tone
  • Nourishing Facial Oil
    • a light oil makes the service just that much more comfortable for the client, and easier for the esthetician. Our clients adore the facial oil, and it smells wonderful.
  • Perform Dermaplaning
  • Hydrating Toner
    • soothing and hydrating
  • Pumpkin Peel
    • if the client’s skin isn’t sensitive, it's an effective way to promote a deeper exfoliation. It would make for a good add-on/upsell.
  • Serum or Ampoule
    • Radiance Serum is my favourite for this, but you can also choose the serum that reflects the client's specific skin needs
    • One of the newest products in the Moor Spa lineup is the concentrated ampoule, designed for more intense skin treatments like dermaplaning. Applied with a syringe, the Hyaluronic Acid or Vitamin C ampoules offer potent nutrients.
  • Facial Soother or Skin Balm
    • for skin that tends to be reactive
  • Moisturizer for skin type
    • if you aren’t using Skin Balm, you can also use the Facial Soother as the final step, and apply moisturizer first

Home care recommendations:

  • Radiance serum for acne scarring, skin brightening/hyperpigmentation
  • Hydrating serum to take advantage of the improved absorption for dehydrated/mature skin
  • SPF30+ for face
  • Moisturizer for skin type.
    • My preference is the Supreme Cream because of its anti-aging richness, and how smooth it leaves the skin
